Traveling

I thought I was getting to go on vacation with when Karly started putting clothes and stuff into bags. She said NO. I’m staying home to babysit Tillie. Karly is going  to a place that doesn’t allow dogs. Or brilliant familiars. How am I supposed to teach her if we aren’t together. It’s spring, there are a lot of plants she needs to find and some only I can sniff out, she needs to learn how to hunt with me. What if something bad happens to her and I can’t help?

Peeps! They make no sense. Their purpose is to keep our dens in good shape, work with us to get food, and make it for us. We are the brains. They have the thumbs.

Arooo! She’s leaving me behind.

Well. The least I can do is make sure she has enough food. I stuck a biscuit in her socks.

Uh oh. Tille! What do you have? You took the sock with the biscuit in it! Put it back!

PUPPIES!

George.

Memorial Day

Yesterday was Sun day, so I snoozed on the porch. Today is Memorial Day. If it wasn’t for all the four-legged warriors and their partners, I wouldn’t be able to sleep in the sun without worrying.

Thank you,

George

Memorial day

This is just rude!

Auntie Heather is always complaining about my grooming. I sat in her kitchen, doing what’s correct for the day, she walked over, bent down, and said pee you, waving her hand across her nose. Well, that’s rude enough! You don’t see ME going up to sniff her mouth. Her butt, maybe… No, Peeps don’t like having their butts sniffed. Very strange. Anyhow, she mixed these up:

Fresh Breath Biscuits

preheat oven to 350 f.

you will need: 1 cup brown rice flour, plus more for rolling or if dough is too sticky

                       1/4 cup ground flaxseed

                       1/4 rolled oats

                       1/4 cup parsley, minced

                       1/2 cup chicken broth

directions: mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. stir in chicken broth, mix until large crumbles form. pick up crumbles and knead with hands until the dough sticks together. shape it into a ball. place on floured surface. roll out dough and cut out shapes. place shapes on a lined baking sheet bake for about 20 minutes. once the bottoms have turned golden, turn off the oven’s heat and allow to the biscuits to cool down within the oven. this will make the biscuits crunchy/hard.

They should be called TASTY! Not Fresh Breath Biscuits.

George. Who is hurt. I’m perfect as I am. So is my breath.

Silly Peeps

They went off to see a movie and have fish because it’s Fry Day. I don’t understand the point. There is today, there is tomorrow, there is yesterday. That’s all that’s needed. Oh, and a doggy bag. I like fried stuff. Hm. I guess Fry Day is okay. It’s the other days. Like, you can’t sit on any day other than Sat urday?

If I had thumbs…

I’d make these. I don’t, so I depend on Auntie Heather to make me treats. I give two paws up to  liver brownies. Make some for your best friend and make a second batch for me, ‘kay?

Liver Brownies :

• 1lb. chicken or beef liver -I prefer the chicken livers, they don’t seem to smell as bad
• ½ lb. PLAIN cornmeal (non rising)
• ½ lb. plain old-fashioned oatmeal
• 1 can salmon or mackerel (with juice)
• 1 Cup chicken broth or water
• 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
• 1 egg
• Dash of salt
• ¼ Cup parsley flakes

Place liver, egg, fish, broth, garlic, salt and parsley flakes in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Mix corn and oatmeal’s, and then add liver mixture. Mix well. Once mixed, batter should be like a slightly wet brownie mix. Add more broth or water if necessary. Pour mixture onto well-greased cookie sheet and bake at 250 degrees for 1 ½ to 2 hours. Cut into squares while still warm. Cool, and then freeze what you won’t use in 1 week or less.

Enjoy the wonderful smelltaste as it floats through the kitchen. Good, huh? Make sure you share with your partner and of course, with your favorite familiar.
